| The DECA program at Richfield Senior High School was honored at Tuesday night's school board meeting for earning gold-level certification in a national competiton, one of only two chapters in Minnesota to receive the award this year. The Richfield chapter was recognized for its Spartan Avenue store at the high school. Six students worked on the application for the award and have earned a trip to Salt Lake City later this spring. At Tuesday night's meeting to explain their winning entry were, from left, Brenda Portillo (last year's store manager), chapter President Ridwan Ahmed, team member Tenzin Sonam and DECA Adviser Dean Breuer. |
