Sandahl, Hall win at-large council primary

Richfield voting

Election judges Pearl Weitbrecht, left, and Bernadette Lais check in voters Tuesday morning at Centennial Elementary School in Richfield.

Incumbent Sue Sandahl easily led the field in Tuesday night's primary election for the at-large seat on the Richfield City Council.

With 100 percent of votes counted, Sandahl had won more than 59 percent of the 3,425 votes cast, according to unofficial returns from Hennepin County.

Robert L. "Bob" Hall won just over 27 percent of the vote to almost 13 percent for Veronica Jacobsen.  Sandahl and Hall will move on to the general election in November.
