The new Richfield Municipal Center main parking lot opened for business Monday morning.
Crews went to work right away removing the temporary lot that has provided parking during city hall construction this summer and fall. It will be replaced by landscaping, including a rain garden, according to the city's website.
Work remaining on the project includes surfacing the tennis courts in Heredia Park, just behind the new municipal center.
